Karsyn Wetherington

As a mixed-media artist, my work draws from nature's beauty, the love of friends and family, and life's joys, struggles, and changes. Raised on Okinawa, Japan, in a military family, I was shaped by the island's vibrant landscapes and traditions—fueling my nature-inspired, Japanese-influenced art.

Later, my parents split, and I gained nine step-siblings and navigated blended-family challenges. Family found a new meaning. To me, it means those who love and support you unconditionally.

Now a bonus mom building my own family, I use art to cope with past traumas and present hurdles. I hope it reaches others in complex families, encouraging perseverance and reminding them they're not alone.

Though I create mostly for myself and loved ones—often gifting meaningful pieces—I want viewers to find comfort in our shared experiences.
